Thermodur 600 ASS –The non-smoker

When a stove is heated to above 200°C for the first time, usually an oxidation or carbonisation process starts during which the organic part of the stove coating (components of the silicone resin) is converted into an inorganic matrix. This is accompanied by a visible smoke development. As for Thermodur 600 ASS, we focussed on avoiding smoke development during first heating.

Because of special cross-links the stove coating cures at room temperature to its final mechanical hardness and as a result does not develop any smoke. The coating, tested by the TÜV Süd as well as by the Austrian Institute of Research, is available in many brilliant colour shades. Optimal for: wood stoves, fireplace inserts and flue pipes, can be exposed continuously to temperatures of up to 600°C.
